Before implementing AI, ask these 7 questions
A short checklist that has saved several budgets.
The questions
1. What decision or process does this change, specifically? 2. Who owns the outcome after go-live? 3. What does success look like in numbers, and who measures it? 4. What data does it touch, and who may see that data? 5. What happens when it is wrong, and who notices? 6. What are we stopping to make room for this? 7. If this works, what is the next thing it makes possible?
Why they work
None of these are technical. Every one of them is a question a management team can answer in the room. If you cannot answer four of them, you are not ready to implement — you are ready to investigate.
