About

Good management, to me, means having a vision — and clarity about that vision.

A vision sets the direction. Clarity makes it survive the everyday: what matters, who decides and what happens next. Almost everything else — strategy, technology, culture — becomes easier once both exist.

I am not an AI consultant who discovered the topic when ChatGPT launched. I came to it from the other direction: as someone responsible for organisations, budgets, teams and results, watching a technology arrive that changes how work actually gets done.

That perspective shapes how I advise. I am more interested in whether something survives the reality of your Monday morning than in whether it demos well.

Four perspectives

01

Operator

Experience running organisations and teams — with the budget, the hiring decisions and the consequences attached.

02

Technologist

A long-standing interest in technology, digitalisation and AI. Close enough to the detail to know what is real and what is a slide.

03

Manager

Decisions involving employees, customers, systems, budgets and strategy — usually under incomplete information and time pressure.

04

Advisor

Helping leadership teams see their own organisation from the outside, and turn that view into a short list of decisions.

Most of my work starts with a conversation, not a proposal.

If something here matched a question you are currently sitting with, that is usually a good reason to talk.

You probably don't need another AI presentation.

You need to know what AI means for your company and what you should actually do next.
